Default Custom Savage Roll Cage..

Made by me. Yah, I decided to make a custom roll cage for my Savage, and here is how it came out. It may look weak, but its not. I bet I could stand on it and it wouldn't break. I might think of making some more and selling them.

That looks pretty cool. How much did it cost you to make it?And will that design still work if the savage is fitted with lst shocks? You should stand on it to test it then post some more pics of you standing on it.Again nice job looks real cool.

Yeah, the only bodies you'll be able to use are the SUV ones. Otherwise it looks good. Nice fit and finish. It should sell well if you decide to make more.

its made out of steel... And who needs to run a body when you have a kicking Roll cage like this? This one actually protects stuff, like the tank, shock towers, engine, and everything else.. Also it made my savage way more ridgid.

From the second pic I can see that your cage does not in anyway connect to the savage roll bar, why is that? Surely if you connect it to roll bar it would make it much more rigid.

i'm sure it would, but if someone bought it, then they would have to modify their stock roll bar.. Theres really no point, it seems really strong as it is. I will get the parts for my savage soon and test it out.

Nice, but I think you need some more strength in the bars that run along from the stock roll bar to the back by the rear shock tower. If that thing lands upside down on those from any decent height as they are they will bend easy.
Maybe two bars going from a common centre point diagonally down one to the front and one to the back, and maybe connect them across the top as well.

ehehe, well i got my savvy running yesterday, and took the roll cage for a beating... Rolled it about 15 times, and landed upside down from about 6ft up. Nothing bent or broke, just the paint scraped off. I might get it powder coated.

I think it looks good, and it will probably make some people cry but in my opinion it sure beats the ugly RC solutions cage which is way too much money.

How someone could put something so ugly on their truck is beyond me. It looks like a little girls play gym, complete with swings and monkey bars and all! Haha
