Oooooops I ripped my Imex foam - Please help me :-(
Hy guys please help me, in removing the foam from my Imex Krock tires the hole space was so little that one foam ripped sh..!!! (have a look to the photo)
Please help me i have a race on next week, what can I use to repair it? Consider that I live in Italy, so I have to use "normal" materials such as silicone etc....
Will this be a problem for the tyre balance???
Reply me numerous ;-)
Thanks in advance, bye ;-)

You could use "Clear Bostik" that works fine, i used Bostik when i made some inserts last year.
Apply a coat to each side of the tear, allow it go touch dry, then push the two halves together, and allow it to fully dry before re-fitting the insert

Thanks a lot for your suggestions, i have 2 questions:
1) According to me the CA glue is too hard, and will make a strange foam behave in running...too stiff in the repaired point...
2) Will the clear Bostik be elastic, but, at the same time strong?
Tnx in advance ;-)

YES.
C&A glue won't work on foam. If you try to run that tire, the foam balls up to one side, and creates a bad imbalance, and the tire will have a firm side, and a super soft side, totally screwing up the handeling. I have a few extra Imex MT foams, I will give you one, if you just pay a few bucks for shipping.

rubber cement works great to repair foam. Bonds well, is flexible, and doesn't affect balance of tire.

If you have or can get some [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXKAV8&P=7]foam safe CA[/link] just put a little on and let it cure. I've done it before with no problems. Foam safe CA is odorless and stuff so it won't melt or distort foam.

I personally would NEVER trust any type of glue on tire foam, I don't care what anyone claims. If you glue a broken foam, and a few months later the foam comes apart, now you have a useless tire (ONE useless tire) which basically means a USELESS set of three tires. Now because you glued a piece of foam, you have to spend upwards of $80 for a completely new set of tires and wheels.

What about the glue included with the 2 stage foams that you need to glue together yourself?
