need some help with the 3 speed
I am trying to put in the 3 speed in my savage. There is this black spacer that goes over the main driveshaft pin. With the three gears on, the one in the stock transmission doesn't fit under the E-clip, and no spacer came with my three speed upgrade. I am tempted to just cut mine down, but I don't want to run into problems down the road. Thanks.

Alright, thanks a lot. I am still in the process of building my 4.6 and I'm not really familiar with any of the parts yet.

i had the same problem ....with that spacer....just shave it down like a hair at a time and check it often and it should be all good.
