RE: COLLARI .32
ive heard of a faulty crankshaft bushing that wears prematurely due to the piston getting stuck at TDC and the crank having to "PuLL" the piston and it screwes the bushing.....just 1 thing i heard about the 1st batch of them going out.

I just got a used collari .30 and regret it a bit because spare parts are sooo expensive and as far as i know you can only get them from werks. But i still cant wait to see it in action...

RE: COLLARI .32
I have a Collari .32 and I must say it runs really good, holds a tune well and has all the torque you could ask for. I must also say the one way shaft lost some of the surface under the one way bearing sending metal debris through the engine. Werks was good about replacing the shaft. I sent it in and it only took over three months to get another one. I had to buy another engine in the meantime to have something to use. Now, I only put the Collari in something I can use a bump start with, because I cannot trust it will not happen again. Parts are very expensive, and from my expereience, too hard to get.

I will tell you of a engine that is close enough to the Collari you are hard pressed to tell the difference and that is the STS .28. Sold in USA by racernine.com. This is the engine I replaced the Collari with and now I have two. Only cost $120.
Look around and you will find quite a bit of info about this one. Only weak link is the pull start spring. I have broken two in two gallons. Replacment pull starters are only $15 though.

I have also had a Picco .26 Outlaw in the past and it was a very good engine. I hear the Picco .27's are even better, so I would also include the Picco .27 along with the sts .28 as something to consider.
In fact, I am actually getting very interested in trying a Picco .27 myself.

RE: COLLARI .32
I just broke in a picco 27 in my Lightning Stadium Pro this weekend. The breakin was fairly painless, it ate one plug after the 5th tank (wouldn't start on tank 6) and by tank 7 I began some very rough tuning. As tuned tank 8 was very strong. It's hard for me to directly compare this engine to the many engines that have been in the Savage since it's a different truck.... it has GREAT snap on the bottom and pulls to a higher RPM than most of the MT engines I've run in the Savage though...

i will suggest the XTM 24.7....not only for the fact that its rated 2nd highest in that doodes list ... but i just got 1 like 4 days ago and i just started to lean it out ....and HOLY CRAP..tonns o torque and it slamms through all 3 gears and makes the tires baloon like crazy.

Exactly the same engine just a diffrent distributor.Youll pay more for the ofna version but you get great customer service with it, i've heard that werks isnt the best company to deal with when it comes to waranty issues...
