RE: Savage Limited
u cn probs get it cheaper than 100 bucks more than ur average savvy, but yeah, its awesome. 10% more low end punch and 10%more top speed. add the pipe, tyres/wheels, airfilter, brakes etc...awesome!

RE: Savage Limited
Thnx for feedback. I can get a Savy Limited for $469 (which includes a carry bag). It would be my first nitro... not sure I want to spend more than $400. Plus I would want reverse (another $60). What about fail-safe... would you recommend for a newb?

definate for failsafe. then ull need glo-start, fuel n batteries. part frm that i reckn ur pretty much set. The savage is a true basher - will take whatever you throw at it. However, if your not wanting to part with the extra cash then go with the standard savvy 25 - you could always upgrade it where funds allow. I got mine and havent looked back!

I don't think the standard Savage 25 has the upgraded diffs like the LE does. The 3 speed in the LE also adds a little speed, but I am not sure you will notice the difference between 40 and 44 MPH. I also like the Dirt Bonz tires that come with the LE and 4.6. They grip really good.

Yeah LE may be great with extras, but is $469 a good price? I'm still think'n for a newb, the basic Savage 25 will be pleanty of truck and will be resistant to most things I throw at it.

There is nothing wrong with the Savage 25. The LE just adds a bunch of addons for cheaper that you could buy the addons individually. You will enjoy the 25 probably as much as you would the 25 LE.

I think a drill will work, but make sure it has reverse and an adjustable torque so you don't break anything. But a drill does not turn as many RPM's as the rotostart.

RE: Savage Limited
I just bought a LE last week, and I absolutely love it. It spanks a "regular" 25 on both ends, and it stops better too. You get the diff upgrade, brake upgrade, three speed, tuned pipe, better air filter, and dirt bones.....it's worth the extra money. I paid $495 for mine at a LHS and it didn't come with any extras, so you're getting a decent price. I smoked a Picco powered Tmaxx like it had Marlboro printed across it. I've got a cocky Revo owner that wants to drag race next week, so we'll see what happens there. I might be wrong, but I think he's going down. I'm a little worried about the LST2 that wants to run the same day though.....
Even with swapping to the 47T spur gear it still wheelies like mad and when third kicks in it's freakin gone.
