Slipper clutch broken
Ok I broke in my savage yesterday and started hitting the dirt today and jumping it off my friends ramp. It was a lot of fun and I did my first back flip but my slipper clutch has been flattened and striped so what would be a good replacement? Or are they all the same also what would be a good upgrade to make my car have more acceleration with out loosing to much top speed. Also if I am going to be jumping my savage a lot more what parts should I up to improve strength and still be light?

1st try to let off the throttle right before you hit the ground. 2nd tighten the slipper to fully tight then loosen it about 1/8th a turn. HPI makes a lightweight steal gear set. I like steal cause it WON'T break.

RE: Slipper clutch broken
The spur gear has 49 teeth. The more or less teeth will determin your gear ratio. A 47 tooth spur and a 20 tooth pinion will create a high top speed but your low end power will suffer. Where as a 52 tooth spur and a 13 tooth pinion will create a strong low end but the top speed will suffer. As far as the steel gear goes, just go to www.towerhobbies.com and check em out.

RE: Slipper clutch broken
The pinion is the clutchbell. The spur gear just needs pulled off and swapped with the new one. If you buy a steel spur get a spur gear/clutchbell kit. Without a hardened clutchbell you'll just strip the teeth on the stock clutchbell.
