Best place for equip not included in a RTR
Just got a Savage 25 rtr for Xmas. I need the battery pack, NiHM batts, fuel, glow plug starter etc etc.
Does any national chains such as Walmart handle all this stuff? see the problem is, the nearest hobby shop is pretty far.
Thanks guys,
Fred

How far is it to the closest hobby shop?
I have several shops within 35 miles of me and
I try to buy a few items from each, when I need
things. I bought my son a savage 25 rtr in November
of 2004 for his tenth birthday. In the past 13 months
I've bought many hop ups and spare parts from
two shops. He started to race at a local track this
summer and was getting good but track is closed for
the season now. Anyway to the point , by going to
a local hobby shop, the owners got to know me and
I got good deals on parts. The icing on the cake came
today. I've been wanting my own truck so today I
bought a savage 25 limited edition brand new for
$425 out the door. I am very happy. But I'll need
new stuff for my truck. Find a hobby shop you like
and get to know them, it may payoff. Also I buy
O'Donnell 30% fuel for my sons savage and I have to
drive 45 miles one way into PA to get it.

im in the same situation. the nearest for me is 377 miles. then the next one is about 18oo miles. ive learned to plan way ahead. ive got more spares than i can believe now. im wondering if i have enough to almost build another truck. i do have multiples of all suspension stuff.online is the best place to order. i only use tower if i have to cause i dont think they are reasonable on their shipping rates. some of the links on this site have good dealers. i also call the hobby shop here and they just put stuff in a envelope and send it for a small charge like 3$ or something like that. fortunatley they carry every imaginable hpi product possible.

YO the dog
That is a lot of miles to travel for a hobby.
But nitro trucks are worth it. Thats cool you can
have this hobby up there.
