HUMP PACK HELP!?
Hi,
im looking for a hump pack for my savage 25 limited edition. The only problem is there are so many to choose from and i dont know what charger or anything to get for it.
Im in the UK and i only buy from:
www.modelsport.co.uk
and/or
http://www.rcheaven.co.uk
Also i currently have these running my receiver and servos in the savage right now:
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFun...n&ItemID=19349
And i dont know if i even need a hump pack if i have these batteries, but i want to be able to charge my car without removing the receiver cover and the mud cover.
So please can you look at these two sites and try to help me find the right charger and hump pack.
Also i dont really want to spend more than £20-£25 on the hump AND charger together.
Please reply.

RE: HUMP PACK HELP!?
I have the same 1200mah as sprocket showed you in his reply. You're still going to have to take your cover off to charge your hump pack unless you modify it so the wires can hang out. I took a dremel and made a small notch on each side of the cover so where the cover meets the box. it will not damage the wires from being sandwiched between the two that way. I take each wire from each side and plug them together so the plug is in the center of the cover and tape it to the cover with electrical tape when I run it.... no more taking my cover off to get to those wires............
If you do not know what I mean I can post a pic later tonight for you..

RE: HUMP PACK HELP!?
Try to find something like these:
[link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXL303&P=ML]switch with charging jack[/link]
[link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXE963&P=ML]External charge receptacle[/link]
You will be able to charge the hump pack without opening up the radio box.
Any charger capable of charging 5 Nimh AA cells will do.

RE: HUMP PACK HELP!?
BTW i dont really understand how all these connectors work. the hump pack has one plug that plugs into where the stock AA battery pack would go right? The same connector? And that charging switch, does one of those plug into where the hump pack would go and then connects to the hump pack...but then where would you charge it up? I dont really understand! [&:]

RE: HUMP PACK HELP!?
Ok i basiccally want a hump pack (same power as podge's but different brand) a charger that can charge the hump pack preferably without needing the connector for £20 or under. Also i need a way to customize it so i dont need to take the mud cover off.

RE: HUMP PACK HELP!?
i looked at the mod but i dont really want to mutate my radio box. Is there a way to have a hump pack, charger and to just pull the recharge wire out the switch hole and tape it down so it doesnt fall back in and just recharge that way? I need a charger for about £10 from modelsport.co.uk that will charge a 1200mah 6v pack aswell.

RE: HUMP PACK HELP!?
Here is a complete "kit" for your radio and receiver. It would be a little better if it had a little higher capacity for the hump pack but it will work better than 4 AA batts.
http://www.rcheaven.co.uk/shop/view_...uct=CARS5BIR26
This battery would give you a little more run time
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFun...n&ItemID=20625
The first link I posted is similar to the set up I run except for the battery. I use a 1400 mAh instead of 1000mAh. It seems like this would be your best option for the ammount of money you are looking to spend.

RE: HUMP PACK HELP!?
Thanks alot Tmodlin, ill probably get that!
And thanks everyone else for the help, i like how it comes with those batteries for my transmitter aswell.
Seeing as though we have spent over £800 at that modelshop, ill probably get some kind of deal (have before) So its a good choice, plus ill probably upgrade hump at a later stage.
Thanks again.

RE: HUMP PACK HELP!?
kurf, simply drill two holes in you radio box. Then stick the plug, that the battery connector plugs into, out of one of the holes, and the plug from the battery. Then plug them in. This way you can easily disconnect the battery w/out removing the radio box cover, and you can also charge the battery without removing the cover

RE: HUMP PACK HELP!?
But cant you just have the reacharge plug hanging out and just use the switch to turn the battery off or does it need to be fully disconnected to recharge?
