my ns 25 lasted 3 gallons because the carb got loose and it ran to lean which screwed everthing up. then i go to to rebuild it and dirt got in???? oh well, got a 4.6 now...ill use my 25 for somethin else. anyway 10 gallons sounds like a while.

You should be very happy, 8-10 gallons is a great engine lifespan. You got your money's worth out of that engine. It also proves you always had it in excellent tune. (specifically not tuned right to the ragged edge of lean). Slightly rich tuning will yield WAY more engine life.
