I'm a big fan of SUV's. My Savy 25 came new with the old style Hummer body.. It has been VERY durable and tough - highly recommended... It's also good cuz it protects your engine head. Mine has zero scratches.. It doesn't run hot either if you cut out a window..
I then painted a Dodge Durango, and the Porsche Cayenne. Hummer's still my favorite though. Get's better looking with age(and beating)..
Ultimately a question of (your) taste though..
I also like the old 50's style pickup..

And BTW, I had a shop paint the same Hummer for me once in red, and it didn't look good(sold it on e-bay for what I'd paid for it...) Wasn't shiny. You probably have to do something special for certain colors to get them to come out right. I figure, if you're gonna' do it, read up on it. You might as well take your time and do it right - cuz they can come out looking pretty lame if they're not done right(I've learned - patience is key when painting bodies..)

PatrickBW - the Hummer body is good one, but i dont like the look that he gives to the savvy. so tnx anyway.
Cyberfyn - its nice, but in the first bad land the man fall of, dont you think? and one more thing, where do you find those kind of springs? & how is your rear exhaust?
and back to the bodys question..
I thought about [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXFHM3&P=7]Pro-Line Cadillac EXT[/link] or [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHPB7&P=7]HPI Bounty Hunter[/link]..
what do u think?

I have the HPI El Camino Body. I was not sure I would like it but it turned out ok. The color and paint scheme really makes you like the body. The wrong color can make the coolest body look bad.

The HPI Rubicon and Bronco bodies look really good on the Savage if they are painted right, and they are durable too. Parma has a .06" lexan X-citer body made specifically to fit the Savage line, and that will probably be my next one.
To me, there are very few lids that look really good on a stock wheelbase Savage. Most of the 1:10 shells look too small, and the 1:8 versions are too big.
Nah man, Steve is one hell of a quad rider. You can't go cartwheeling 20 feet and expect him to stay put, but he's a tough little guy. He has little loops on his feet so you can strap him down. They are stretchy though, so he bounces around enough to add a little bit of realism to it. I want one just for when I'm playing around in the yard and stuff. It might not be very practical but it's one of the coolest shells out there.

The rider on the quad is mounted on flexible rubber stirups and the bars and rubber mounted too. He's landed on his head a few times now and the Sav just rolls back onto it's wheels.
The RDLogics zorst is good. Gives better mid and top end. Looks cool too with the smoke comming out the back too.

RE: Looking for a nice BODY for a savage.
I have one of those proline early 50's chevy bodys since last summer, never painted it but i can tell you its very hard compared to regular bodys and thats the main reason i bought it, just cant decide how to paint it. I was thinking of a two tone black and silver considering most of my truck is that color scheme, except for those stock purple parts.

Well, it all depends on preference. Some people are part of the "Bowtie Brotherhood" but I like Fords myself. This one I modeled after a fullscale lifted 4WD F-150 I see driving around town.
