Default cb problem - PLEASE HELP QUICKLY!!! :)

I just installed the clutchbell and flywheel, but i think i did something wrong. I can turn the flywheel, and if i hold the rotostart so that it can't spin (turning flywheel wrong way), then the flywheel simply spins freely from the engine. I think i did everything right. Using an sts d30m engine. However, i did not use part 86077 http://graphics.hobbypeople.net/sgallery/s293327.jpg bc it looks like the engine already has it, plus i don't have the part anyways :P. Help please.

edit: link fixed

here is the pic, i believe the gold thing right in front of the bearing is the collet. The pic didn't come out too well, but the gold thing is conical even though it doesn't look it in the photo.

I've only ever used the stock hpi flywheel so im not sure but maybe the collet isint made to fit your flywheel. I would assume that these parts are standard and will fit other brands but you never know. Why not take the collet off your other engine and try that?

i don't have another engine. I just bought the car from "dahl-e-lama" (i think thats how it spelled) as a roller. I also bought this engine, but mr. dahl misplaced some stuff, such as the collet :P. (its ok, bc he included extra stuff that is worth more). I guess its off to tower hobby for me

Yeah you probably just need the correct collet for the particular flywheel you're using. They're not all the same, and using the wrong one can cause your flywheel to slip.
