Tires for Street Use
Which tires do you guys all like for street use. I am planning on getting some soon. Just wondering what everybody else likes.
If there are others I don't know about, please let me know.
Thanx.

RE: Tires for Street Use
I have the Imex Road Dawgs tires and they have a very nice deep tread. They give superior grip but ive only run them once so far I bought another set of these tires a year ago but I bought them soft compound and let me tell you! The tires screeched realistically on tarmac and my truck flipped on every sharp turn despite it being lowered max to the ground. Awesome tires, ive owned 2 pairs so far and cant complain, just plain great. Get the medium compound if you want great grip but nothing extreme. Ive heard the Road Rages dont have a very deep tread and wear fast. I have seen the Phaltline tires and was tempted to buy them but the $80 a set price tag kept me away. Their tread looked more plastic than rubber so im glad I went imex on tires. I strongly recommend the Road Dawgs! Tom.

Okay, so most people voted for the HPI Phaltlines, and the Pro-Line Road Rages were next. But I need to how well these tires hold up and what kind of traction. I would really like to hear other thoughts on them because I think with what I have heard from people here and on other forums I am leaning towards the IMEX Road Dawgs. they have a deeper tread from what I can tell. Thanx for the votes.

I have road rage, they hold up great.
Traction is little,I can burn all 4 with locked diffs to the point its difficult to control.
They are very fun to powerslide on pavement.
Unless your racing get some.

Told ya the tread wasnt too deep. I love my Road Dawg's and if you want insane grip then definitely get the soft compound ones! Your truck will not slide at all absolutely the best tire!

Here is a picture of my sons savage with the Imex road dawgs.
They do a nice job on the pavement. They are fun on the dirt
as well with nice power slides. Not good for climming or any
off roading needing good grip.

Could you provide a reason why?? I have held th HPI ones in my hands and I dont like them. They cost $80 for a set of 4 and the tires/rims itself is not very wide which makes you lose some stability, plus the tread isnt the best[&:]
