RE: lrp .28 spec 3 vs. axial .32 spec 1
The LRP .28 spec 3 is an 8 port built more for speed then torque. I dont know about the axial. Im sure both could pull the wheels up no problem with the right gearing though.

RE: lrp .28 spec 3 vs. axial .32 spec 1
I know what the axial .28 port configuration looks like; it's virtualy identical to that of a Nitrostar (HPI) K4.6. I actually toyed with the idea of buying the axial sleeve and piston and ruibuilding one of my K4.6s with it; but I didnt want to drop $100 for the rebuild when I could get the k4.6 rebuild at $50.
Can you post pics of the lrp sleeve? It would be a little easier (but not accurate) to guestimate what the LRP sleeve is menat for (low RPM, more torque or high RPM and high HP).

My lrp is a dream to tune it is very dossal but yes with high compresion it was harder to start for break-in but after that it starts up super fast even in cold weather, the pull start on mine was junk it lasted break-in so after that I went to a tiger drive #S-704. The pic and description on tower hobbies is wrong (but I believe thay ship the right engine) the spec 3 is 8+1 port here's a link

By the way my spec 2 is very powerfull it will lift the front wheels up in the air very easly with 16/49 and 7'' tires and with 14/52 it will do full back flips but I try not to because it's hard on the diffs.
