RE: Busted piston on Axial .28
Ive had one of my K4.6s up to 340degrees F when I was not paying attention to the half tank lean one time; I was running it on the lean side to begin with. That engine lasted into 8 or 9 gallons; I cannot remember since I lost count after the 8th gallon. That one high temp run did not cause any critical failures like this or even cause any other problems.
Since the K4.6 and Axials are almost identical in construcion, design, and materials (save for some minor differences), I dont see why the Axial, when produced propely at the factory, would not suvive such high temperatures on one instance.

RE: Busted piston on Axial .28
you should send it back to axial.
I hade two axials ( well an k4.6 and an axail .28)
and both take the worst things ever.
I not bragging but I am the craziest basher I know.
I jump a rustler 12 ft in the air at 50 mph.
so I can't believe the axial died just like that.
send it back
