And no not every Savage has half tank lean, but it can be tuned out to some extent anyway.

The half tank leanout is result of the HPI fuel tank design. Extra fuel tubing *might* help a little, but by no means will it cure it. I compensate for it by running a tad bit richer on a full tank, so when it hits half a tank the leanout isn't as drastic. I'm surprised HPI hasn't redesigned the tank after all these years of us complaining about this.

hummmm.... never heard of hot stuff... i run byron, love it.. alot of oil.. 11% content and they say anything over *% is waisted and makes you you your engine leaner due to the false visual effects of the truck,
the only other fuel than byron i would suggest is blue thunder or tornado, i dont no the oil content but check them out... fuel is important to the life and performance of your mill, re run your truck in with the fuel, back to base settings and re-tune, maybe even change the plug and start a fesh!!...

I think Blue Thunder is a very high oil content fuel, in the high teens pusing 20% if not more than 20%. O'Donnels and Byrons are good brands with 12% oil or less. Another brand I reverted back to useing is Rocket Science. I hear that fuel is popular only in the south so you might have to ask your local RC store to order it.
As for the half tank lean, I did an explanation on it in which I went into some of the physics involved as far as presures are concerned and how a significant pressure drop would cause the half-tank lean. I'm going to search for it and if I can find that post, I will link it here or bump that thread up.
