Tower had one towards the bottom of the savage parts page that fit into the slots in the diff cups, it looked stronger than those.

Yeah thats your best bet, its cheaper and probablly better. I JB welded mine and its works awesome, the plastic diff cups were screwed up anyways.

Its your choice on locking or not so you choose. But I can say I have the Vertigo Diff. lockers in one of my trucks. They are the nicest ones I have seen, they are great design IMO for dirt only. Check'em out for comparison.

I've got the diff locker lauderboy has a picture of above. If I take that out and put in this...http://cgi.ebay.com/Savage-Spider-Ge...QQcmdZViewItem

(A spider gear set) this would work right? I'm trying to get rid of the diff lock and put funtioning gears back in. Thanks

Yeah, your link didnt work but all you need is the spider gears(bevel gears) make sure you get the 4 gear set instead of the two.

I used to run a Maximizer locker in the rear diff when my truck was 2WD and when I was into dirt oval racing. It was a nice quality piece and it did what it said it would and I never had any problems with it. I took it out when I made the truck 4WD again as it wasn't necessary for me.[8D]
