Yeah looks like it, just keep drilling until you get through the hole, just be carefull not to use too big of a bit or you'll enlarge the hole, good luck[:'(][&o]

OK...I do this stuff for a living...and it ain't easy.
You're gonna need a left-hand drill bit, one that is just slightly larger than what you have left of a hole. (doesn't look like you've got much to work with, don't get your hopes up too high). There's just not enough there to get any type of E-Z out to bite. Possibly a tiny square ground one, but you'd need something tougher than plastic 'cause you'd be POUNDING it in...
Ideally, this drill bit will be ground very aggressively, if you know how to do this, cool, if not make sure it is brand new and of high quality. When and if you find these bits...get a few, you're gonna need 'em.
That screw is gonna be case hardened, ideally we'll be eating a bit with each attempt. Safety glasses....'nuff said.
Slow is the key...cram that bit it there under pressure at a slow rpm. We're trying to lock these two items up...we want the bit to grab nearly to the point of shattering. You'll feel it when it's getting close, & if done right it will be over & out before you know what happened.
Ready for the bad news? You could buy a new case for what these drill bits will cost ya.....if you can find them.
Guys bring this kinda stuff to my machine shop all the time, and I always say "if would have only stopped & left me something to work with!!!" I know, easier said than done....

OK...I went and checked out my savage...there are a few options...they all suck but....
Tell me what kind of tools you have to work with....I'm guessing a drill press ain't one of them...
We can work around that.

Im guessing you were using metric allen keys for it to strip like that right? Next time make sure your using the right size or you see what can happen. Or did you use red threadlock?
Do you have a dremel? If so just get yourself some pointed grinding stones and keep going till the shaft can slide out.

Yep...that'll work....we need only compromise where the threads end and the pin begins.
3/32 drill bit should work fine, then we'll have a hole through what's now a set screw, and be able to back it out.
After I had a look, it's easier than I thought....
Let's not beat him up, we've all been there....
