is it flooded, take out the glow plug and turn it upside down, then start it to get the extra fuel out of it. then put back the glow plug and try to start it. or is your roto start batt. dead

ok when u mean it does not crank, do u mean it does not turn over, or it does not start, or the roto unit runs but its not grabbing the engine?
if it does not turn over, roto battery is dead
if it does not start make sure ur glow plug batteries are charger, and the motor was primed
if the roto unit spins, but does not crank the motor the one way bearing is A broken or B slipping
and finally, the dog bone at the end of the roto probe, might of broke lose.
i just reread what you wrote, it sounds like the motor is locked up, take out the glow plug and see if it cranks, it could just be a pressure lock.

Im still trying to break in my new savage x. When i use the roto start the engine doesn't crank all? what should I do?

the roto spins.....but the motor doesnt crack...its spinning the engine but no cranking at all and i cant feel any torque at all when the roto is spinning the engine....I think I busted the B slipping or something in that lil device that spins inside the engine

ya I opened it and it is the Owb, it just slips , I tried to dry it out but it still slips , so that means Ill need a new owb.
And when I pulled out the motor there was oil everywhere inside the block that holds the engine

use some rtv silicone.
also check or replace the exhaust donut.split cracks etc.loose fitting spring on manifold around the engine.

[8D]Ok , good news, and thx guys. I replaced the 1 way bearing and now the engine starts but it will only start when I pull out that springy rubbery thingy where the low speed needle is that is on the carburetor...so what can I do? how can i start the engine without me pulling out that springy thingy all of the time?
