Default E-Savage Batteries

Do you have to use stick packs with the E-Savage, or can flat(side by side)packs be used?

Looking at the battery tubes, looks like can only be used w/stick packs.

Thanks

I think you can only use stick packs in them, looking at the battery trays, but you could get some custom trays made for side by side packs I guess...

I have been told by someone that actually has experience (He has done it) that you can use SxS packs. You would have to line the metal chassis with something like fuel tubing.

I will be getting lipo packs for my e-savage. Maxamps fit right in.

There is a lot more info on www.e-savage.com

Thanks PedeBeater, have another question, some people say they don't break anything, others are complaining about driveshaft failure and upgrading with revo parts.

How well does the drivtrain hold up with stock motors?

Thanks

I want to clear this up, i do not have the truck yet. i am saving up right now. But I spend a lot of time researching on this site and the e-savage site.

The shafts do not hold up well to any upgraded motors. The only way to use a whole revo shaft is to use the revo bevel gears, and cut off the lower shock mounting holes. I think you may have to buy different bearings for the bearing carriers also. But they should never break.

Good luck.

Thanks PedeBeater,

I visited the e.savage.com site, lots of info there on driveshaft mods.
