Axial.28 spec1 reliable great on bottom end falls on the top. Sts.28 desent bottom crazy on the top not as reliable. Both are about the same price. STS is alot more touchy on the tuning due to the course needles, also has a very long break in. I have had 2 of them both failed at about 3-4 gallons. Axial I have had 3 of them. I had 1 last me 12 gallons the other 2 about 5-7 gallons. Easy to tune and break in.

The OFNA FORCE .32 is the best bang for the buck I have seen so far.
120-130.00.

Axial .28 spec1, mach427, Speedwerks .26v2 <---great engine. All these are very solid powerful engines for under 130.

You should set up a poll to find the best engines out there. An lrp spec 3 is a great reliable engine and is more powerful than all the engines said so far except the sts but the sts as said is very touchy and not reliable.

Anybody notice he said HPI Nitro MT? as in Nitro RS4 MT?

Go with an OS .18CV-R and an Associated torque-tuned pipe. should be around $150 total...you'll definitely want to upgrade the stock pipe to let the bigger .18 breathe.

i would go with the axial .28 or the axial .32 for some more power also its a pretty penny so i would go with the axial .28

the Spec3 does not have more power/torque than the Force.32,the .32 has way more bottom end grunt than the Spec3,but the Spec3 out performs the Force.32 on the top end

Those two words "good cheap" should not be put together when looking for a engine.

+1 thunderbird. he said it was an MT. 18 cv-rx should be good. can get it for around 100 bones. i run the 18 cv-rx in my tmaxx and it is a good reliable engine. comes with an air filter and a glow plug. tune it and forget it.

He could of meant MT as in "monster truck". That would be my guess being that this is the Savage forum.

I am guessing since he said NITRO MT he means HPI 1/10 4 wheel drive stadium truck. Being he is fairly new to the forums he make a mistake like many others have. There is a LONG thread in the stadium truck thread on the HPI MT.

thanks ThunderbirdJunkie my friend was telling about that engine i have a phantom pipe. there was an os 15 when i got it in a trade but it was dead. do u kno where i can get a cheap one. lmk pm me. thanks agian.
if ne1 else has any suggestions lmk. this is a small block engine and sry i didnt realize there was a forum for stadium trucks. also do u think a midblock engine would be too much power for it. it has a 2 speed upgrade.

this isn't a savage forum. it's an HIP Monster Trucks forum, however there are alot more savage talk then any other truck that hpi makes.
