Default diff shim

Does anyone know where you could buy a diff shimming kit that includes the washers that go behind the two larger bevel gears inside the diff? The washers behind mine are warped. When you place them between two fingers, they pop back and forth. Whenever i put diff lube in the diff, it seeps past these washers and the o rings, getting all over the diff bearings. It seems to me that the washers are the cause of the problem as they don't sit flush with the diff case. I know that these shims are included when you buy the hpi alum. diff cups, but i dont really want to pay 30 bucks for 4 shims.

Any help would be appreciated. Thx

Not sure where you can get them, but here is how I solved the same problem in my Savage. I changed out the O-rings and then put some smaller washers over the O-rings then the big ones (that are warped like yours). No more leaks. Just make sure the smaller washers/shims you use fit snug around the cup shaft and fully cover the O-ring. I used some washers/shims I had in an Ofna shim kit.

They are supposed to be warped you place the part that sticks out toward the inside of the diff. if lube is leaking out replace the orings and the paper gasket.

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNT03 Good kit to have. I used some to shim my clutch bell properly and used some for the diffs. Order two, you can never have enough shims.

I have been putting the warped end towards the o ring but every time i opened up the diff, the washer had popped and was sticking out the other way. This pushed the gear and made the gear mesh too tight. I think im gonna try the idea of putting a washer underneath and see if that helps.
