Default Tracks instead of wheels?

Just wondering if anyone has ever come across a kit for a tracks setup instead of rims and tires? I've been doing alot of driving on snow and though it would be cool.

can't remeber where I seen it but seen a savage set up with an extra set of wheels in the rear with tracks between the back wheels and skis on the front. As far as going with straight tracks you would have to set truck up as two drive trains in order to get it to turn. Steve

WELL HERE THAT ALL ARE. 1 SORT OF ON. I CANT FIND THE STANDOFFS I MADE FOR THEM. IT KEEPS THEM FROM ROLLING OVER LIKE A TIRE. ITS JUST 1/4 INCH FLAT STOCK THAT BOLTS TO THE HUB USING STOCK HOLES AND NEW LONGER HARDWARE NOTHING SPECIAL. BUT NOW IM PISSED.... I'LL FIND ALL THIS STUFF AND REPOST... THIS WAS JUST FOR FUN AND THE TRACKS I USED CAN'T HANDLE THE SPEED OF THE SAVAGE. I JUST USED MY 2 SPEED AND LOCKED OUT SECOND. IT WAS COOL FOR CRAWLING AROUND FOR A BIT.

Yep, I believe some1 else did it too on the Traxxas forums though, he had a detailed build on it. I believed those are called "Maxtracks" or something of that sort. Tom.

WOW this is so hack... I made custom alloy stand offs and modded a set of #86065 axles. I hacked the axles for time and this is what broke with mine, said hubs in one of them posts. Don't epoxy these on not ot flip over like a tire. I could rip mine twice as hard as he did too... I'm gonna dig out every thing and redo this. This time Ill do the axles right. I'll make a thread and post on this one when I finish. Probably Monday of tues... And I did get those tracks off the same rack shack of my sons. Was his idea,I just did it for him.
