E-Hellfire?...and a question about normal Hellfire
I'll ask this first, the Hellfire (and Traxxas Revo) look like 1/8 4WD Stadium Trucks to me...lower stance and all. Are they really Monster Trucks (since that's how they seem to be classified)? How do RC trucks get classified? The Hellfire really looks like a ST to me. Can they clear the same obstacles that the Savage and other MTs can? They don't seem to have as much ground clearance.
Now to the main question - with the upcoming release of the Traxxas E-Revo, what do you guys think the chance is for an E-Hellfire to compete? I'd love an E-Hellfire with the E-Savage twin-550 setup or an E-Hellfire Flux Brushless. I'm personally a HPI fan, so would prefer an E-Hellfire over an E-Revo, but if there's no chance for one, the E-Revo might be the first Traxxas I pick up. Also, it'd be nice if HPI made the E-Hellfire larger like Traxxas did to the E-Revo (it's almost 23" long!!!).
I emailed HPI about my interest for an E-Hellfire, but got no response.
Thanks.

RE: E-Hellfire?...and a question about normal Hellfire
The Revo is actually a MT gets the same suspension clearence etc. as the T-maxx and better. And I think the Hellfire is more of a truggy. The bottom is smooth and flat and it's set up to be really low. Though the Revo can be set up to look/be like a truggy real easily. An E-Hellfire would be really cool though.

RE: E-Hellfire?...and a question about normal Hellfire
there are alot of rules that must be meet for it to be a truggy and for it to not be a monster
monster-center TRANNY, engine must be a certain height above the chassis (1.25 inches? don't quote me) and of course size restrictions.
those are wha ti can remember off the top of my head. Essentially a truggy is a buggy that has longer arms and longer wheel base.

Hellfire is definately a truggy. No chance for an e hellfire. HPI have totally not supported the original hellfire. I have 1 and its a dog.

Yep, the Hellfire is a truggy. HPI never really supported or hyped it other than releasing the SS version, so it kinda fizzled out. The Revo is a monster truck...........just with a non-conventional suspension setup.
