HUGGGGGEEE PROMLEMO HELP!!!
Yesterday I went to my local hobby shop today and bought the needed 10x5 bearings for my clutch bell setup. and couple other things. but as i was installing the bearings, i noticed they would not fit they were the right size bearings just something was inside the clutch bell. i noticed there was some kind of round spacer kind of thing stuck in the clutch bell hole. and i was looking at a few pictures of the stock clutch bell, and its not supposed to be like that!!! and THEN i noticed there is 2 wierd looking things round things but very thin on the shaft. Im not sure what they are!!!?! But the interesting thing is when i lookin the exploded view of the clutch and stuff in the manual, it shows there was supposed to be only two bearings and a washer, spacer and screw! I didnt see ANY bearings!!

Toss the whole works in the freezer, then use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the bell, they should just tap out with a small punch or the edge of a small screw driver. BB

BTW, there is a groove for the bearing to ride in inside those races, tap in that groove when you are ready. Those races on your crank make great spacers for setting up clutches, depending upon how much space you need. They are small enough in diameter not to drag on the new bearing and hard enough that they do not get chewed up. BB

Just as I thought, I had a new one in the package, so I opened it to check. There is a ridge the bearings seat against. You cannot drive the old bearing through. BB

In some applications that might work, but I think the Savage Bell has a ridge the bearings seat in. You could press until you crush the new bearing and not get anyplace. BB

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LX9123&P=ML
i got these and they're very nice, my only complaint is the 2.5 and 3 mm don't fit in my tool box
i also picked up this
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXE240&P=7
cuz its standard on my evader, its just tad smaller than the 2.5mm so if you have any of those its a good investment
