F4.6 Surges after 5 mins of running
Why does my F4.6 surge now after like 5 10mins max of normal running. There's no way it should do that. All my bearings and diffs are good, and the break doesnot drag. Could the filter be oiled to much or can the 086 pipe since the exaust nipple is turned so low could that cause it but I've always had this pipe with no issues. What's the problem or could it be an issue wit the motor. If that's the case HPI is gonna replace it. I have like a gallon and a half through it over like5 months

Its just strange that I'm running it really rich and its still able to get to 300 degrees 320 sometimes. If that rubber seal behind the manifold and motor is riped or bad will that cause an issue?

Bingo my brother that's a air leak!!! also the tuned pipe is your engines fuel pump if that seal is leaking bad you wont get the exhaust pressure that it needs and that will make you run lean [sm=shades_smile.gif]

Ok still haveing this problem with my 4.6f getting real hot to where it surges and get jumpy. So I noticed a ripped up header gasket REPLACED that and syill the same. What else could it be. My roto start palte is poped off now. Is that gonna cause an ait leak too or cause this issue. This motor is fairly new
