Trouble Changing engine
ok I tried swapping engines today from my Losi 8 to my Savage. The engine is a Axial .32 spec 1s. I have upgraded aluminum clutch shoes on this engine and I believe this is the problem but I wanted another opinion. I mounted it in the savage and it didn't line up with the spur gear. I am wondering if I have to buy a new engine mount or put stock clutch shoes back on to fit my truck. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am not familiar enough to know about the Losi bell, but I do know that there is a short and long style bell, or deep and shallow. The Savage uses a long bell, if the Losi is a flat bell, your bell will be short of the spur gear. Glen

Losi Flywheel Also the problem is the clutch bell doesnt go on the clutch far enough. You can see the pads when its bolted on.

You must have the wrong collet, letting the flywheel go back far enough to expose the crank threads. Then the inner bearing cannot slide back far enough to get the bell on.

I do believe that the Losi cltuch bells are the short style, not the long style too.

I think you will have to go with a savage flywheel i had this issue switching my old savage engine into my monster pirate,
i was able to just remove the engine from the savage and change the clutch bell to have it fit the monster pirate,
but when i fitted the lrp30 to my savage i used the monster pirate flywheel and i soon found it didn`t line up too good with the savage spur.
