I have this model futba 3pk fasst model# futk2020. Its nice for a no more glitching. I must have a lot of radio interference here somewhere so I was constantly getting almosts runaways. I switched and now it is great. Plus a ten model memory. That works out very well as well. I dont know what the 2021 is. Must just be a newer model.

ThunderbirdJunkie enjoys his 3PM FM immensely.

It's...6 years old now?

Awesome radio ITBJHO, and reasonably priced. The FASST 3PM would be what he'd buy now if he wouldn't have to buy a big pile of receivers to go with it :|

You don't NEED to get anything.
Get what suits your needs and budget.
If that's the 3PMFM, then that. If it's the 3PMFS, then get that.

OK
Basically
If you want the 2.4ghz, the 3PMX is the way to go. You might as well, since FM is going to be obsolete before too long.

There is a FASST 3PM that is discontinued, and there is a 3PMX that is also 2.4ghz.

Get whatever you want.

The FM 3PM is not discontinued. It's 80 bucks cheaper, but it's not 2.4ghz.
Like ThunderbirdJunkie said, the only thing stopping him from getting one is spending $500+ on new receivers for his regularly run cars

The 3PMX is just an updated version of the 2.4FASST 3PM. Don't know the exact details of the differences, but Futaba's website or Tower's site should be able to tell you.

Haven't really radio shopped in 5 years, and even then, said "ooh. New Futaba 3PM, replaced the 3PDF. Will buy" And that was that.
