My Flm Savy build.
Well I got a Savage xl roller last year in a trade and really didn't end up running it much. Over the winter I gathered some info and decided to do a few upgrades. I ended up doing a FLM extended lcg build. This will be the quick version of the build. Here are some pics.
Started with this Stock Savage xl roller
Added some upgrade parts
Then I added them all together
Thanks for looking.
I have many more pics of the individual part installs if anyone needs more info on what I did.

In the pic where it's upside down, what's that middle bottom plate (aluminum) between the two plastic skid plates called? Never saw that type of pievce before, but it looks like it will ad considerable strentgh to the chassis. Do you know if they make one for the original standard length Savages?
Edit: I think I found it here: http://www.fastlanemachine.net/prodd...LM45210&cat=22 for the standard length.

RE: My Flm Savy build.
hi Tominator, I installed the same suspension conversion kit on my Savage flux and it worked out great, fast initial steering and quick response, much less body roll. However I noticed one major problem: it reduces steering angle!! so it is pain in the ass to rev out the conner(though enter conner is quite fast), way too push. There's a small block at the steering hub which hits the upright to limit the max steering. I was going to cut that part off, but after careful check, it seems like at that angle, the pushrod and steering bar of the hub are in line, which means there's no way that the pushrod can pull the hub any further. Hence even if I cut it away it won't help with max steering angle. What do you think? Any idea to address the issue? Thanks.
