RE: savage flux hp trans question HELP
 

This is an update on my Flux transmission after I crunched the idler and drive gears. I talked to the guys at the LHS and after some discussion, pondering, guessing andtinkering I eventually ordered the stock model numbers out of the Flux owner's guide.

To my surprise the new gears are WIDER than the rest of the gears in the transmission. Since Ibought this truck used, Iam starting to believe that the previous owner put the thinner drive and idler gears for some unknown reason. OR, HPI realized that the gears weren't up to the demands of the brushless motor and re-released new wide gears on later versions of the Flux. Perhaps someone more knowledgable on the subject can confirm this. Either way I'm back in business with wide transmission gears. Again these are stock model numbers from theowner's guide; so, if another Fluxer out there has experienced similar issues this information may be beneficial to you.</p>
