exhaust position
 

Is there a conversion to make the exhaust placed at the rear of the car? Its just that every time i use it, un burnt fuel sprays against the chassis and basically the whole right side of the car. It gets really annoying, i'd rather have it spray against the shell like my other cars do.

cool, may be worth a try. Although the exhaust doesnt look all that good quality wise. Dont you think its annoying how it sprays all over the car though?

I have heard nothing but good things about that pipe. I'm going to get one myself when my ribbed pipe get too banged up.

And yeah I hate the spray too.

it would be easier if you could just turn the pipe and drill a hole through the body so it spreays against the shell, havnt looked at it so i dont know if its even possible but it might be.

It goes on the pipe and angles the exhaust away from the truck. Some guys will point it under the truck, some away. I had one on my SS as you can see in the pic.

I had a slimline dual exhaust for my t-maxx, and I hated it. The way it mounted sucked, and no matter how much pressure you used to zip-tie the exhaust coupler, it would leak and be all over the back of the truck. It is cheap, and that is about the best I have to say about it. It maybe totally different for a savage, but I will not buy slime line ever again. I would look/get the TSAV01 c5H "Category 5 Hurricane" DUAL REAR-EXHAUST PIPE SET FOR THE HPI SAVAGE. This pipe is made by Tsais. It mounts nicely to the truck, and is one great pipe. The price is on the high side ($79.99). The pipe is a fully functional 3 chamber pipe which increases mid-range and top-end performance. The slimline is only a one chamber pop can.

Stay with the exhaust you have now and get an exhaust deflector. They're only a couple bucks and will keep the fuel from spraying all over your chassis.

yes i will, i only wanted it to stop spraying fuel so ill just get a deflector for £2.
Thanks. The rear exhaust looks cool though, could get damaged pretty easy though.

A friend of mine had the exhaust deflector and it altered the sound of the engine, so I'm not sure if it affects performance. I angled my exhaust away from the chassis by drilling a hole at an angle in the plastic exhaust mount and it worked perfectly.

im sure it does! it increses the preasure in the pipe! even wider diameter deflector affects the performance, its not bad though, jus re-tune the engine.

all its doing is extending the exhaust tip down there is noway it could effect the performance by adding back pressure ... there is no baffle ... no restriction ... bigger diameter ... not like it fits inside the tip then it would ... i put one on my savy and no performace change and no sound change

Im sure that with a little work it could be mounted like this but i wonder if you would get a buildup of unburned fuel in the pipe...

I have tried the pipe deflector and still use it. No matter how you angle it, you will still have build up somewhere under your chassis. I angle mine under the truck but still have crud by rear diff.

I DON'T THINK I WOULD TRY JayC1968's METHOD...THAT MUST ROB SOOO MUCH POWER!

Actually ill be pleased to say, if you angle the deflector so its bent FACING the front wheels, the air resistance forces the fuel to flow onto the floor, it doesnt spray AT ALL against the car! man it works great.
