Default Help with lipo upgrade for a hpi mt2 nitro.

I'm looking to upgrade the electronic system in my mt2. I plan on upgrading entire truck. I've owned a 1st Gen mt so I have some experience with them but not with amy any of the new technology. I'm pretty much a new when it comes to what's out there for quality upgrades.

With that being said can anyone recommend a lipo upgrade that will fit the mt2?

I there even a lipo upgrade for mt2? I posted a previous thread asking about servos upgrades and It was recommended to me that I should upgrade my electronics to lipo battery for the heavy power needs of the upgraded servos.

You don't like using AAs to power your receiver?

I have no problem with AAs. I want to upgrade the steering servo and it was recommended that I upgrade the battery pack to make sure I was covered for the higher voltage demands. I also plan on getting a higher quality throttle servo at some point. I'm always open to suggestions. I won't have the truck in until the end of the week any help is much appreciated.

There are many quality servos that don't need the higher voltage. That being said, maybe a LiFe receiver pack is what you are looking for. They come in all shapes and sizes as well. A two cell LiFe pack puts out 6.6v, and if you must use HV servos, then I guess LiPo would be something to look into.

I'm not into nitro side of the hobby and don't follow the "ins and outs" of it. I do know 1/8 scale truggy drivers use either NiMh, LiPo, or LiFe packs in their rides. The debate has been going on for years; what to use for a receiver pack. Maybe check out/post in the nitro forum?...I see you already have.
