HPI e-firestorm flux lipo issue
Evening all, new forum member here in the UK.
Just finished setting up my new E-firestorm Flux rated for Lipo, plugged in my 2s Lipo, turned on and no beeps?? I thought the ESC beeped a cell count when you turn it on.
Pretty new to Lipo batteries as my last car used nicd about 20years ago.
Been through the manual and it says it's set for Lipo from the factory but in my less than 5min run to check it out the motor and ESC seemed to get a bit hot to the touch.
Hopefully someone here can put my mind at ease.
Cheers

Not all ESCs give a "beep" for cell count.
If unsure of ESC's settings, the manual explains how to change them. A lot of times, a flashing RED LED will be seen when LVC is triggered. When the Low Voltage Cutoff (LVC) is activated, I would verify the voltage of the battery with some external device. I'm not quite sure on the Firestorm's ESC if LED flashes or not during LVC.
Hot ESC? I believe the Firestorm's ESC has overheat protection circuitry. When that is triggered, you should see a flashing GREEN LED.
How hot is the motor? If no way of checking temps, I'd drop down 2 teeth count on the pinion gear. Possibly the terrain you are running on is causing motor stress?
