Default Would the AFP cable work with FMS?

Does anyone know if the cable that comes w/ the AFP would work for the free sim FMS? Or has anyone tried to use it?

FMS can't see my TX using the AFP cable. I went to Analog control, and chose "PIC-serial interface". I clicked on the "Resources" in the Controls and it's selected at COM1, tried both baud rate but nothing worked. I tried to calibrate the control but nothing worked. My cable is connected to COM1 . Hope you can help me set it up right.
Thanks in advance!
