Default Batteries for interface radio

I would like to purchase the USB interface version of AFPD but would like to know if using my radio will require batteries or not.

it uses less then normal. it acts like a 'dummy' trainer box, doesnt transmit RF

here's a solution

get an AC adapter that you can set to 9V, solder on a battery connector after taking the plug off the adapter, and you have an unlimited 9V, just plug it into your radio
