Default Setting Up CG Questions.

Hi Guys,

I am a new RC Airplane hobbyst and just bought Aerofly Pro-Deluxe versión. The point is that i am becoming crazy in order to get the extra 330 hovering; however, i tried out another plane with the CG moved to the rear and the plane seems to hover easily. So I am wondering if anyone could explain me the meaning of the 3 different CG settings that we can change in this simulator.

Please, my english is very bad so i would appreciatte "fool explanation" description.

Thanks Guys...

I´ll keep on reading the forum and helping members as far as I can...

Default RE: Setting Up CG Questions.

I've attached some colour coded pictures of how the 3 settings relate to the CG,

Look at the first picture, the first box(in red)moves the CG back & forth, the second box(in blue)moves the CG side to side.
Now go to the second picture, the third box(in green)moves the CG up and down.

Hope this helps!

Greg.

OOOhhhhhh Man,

Thanks so MUCH. I am really surprised of how well you have explained this theory.

Once again, thank you very muvh. I though nobody was interested in helping me.

Last weekend I´ve been trying moving the CG in APFD; however, in order to find out in "real airplanes" the best CG so I can hover the airplane I wonder:

Wich of the CG setting is more important; the one in the 1st. setting (from front to back in the fuselage as you show in your 1st picture) or the 3rd. setting (from up to down as you show in your 2nd. picture) in the fuselage.

Thaks for your time FOLK

Back and forth is the most vital, but they are all important):

For what you want to do, change the the red box (In my picture) to about 1.7 that's where I like mine on the Extra 330s.

Hope this helps!

Hi Greg, Do you remember me?

I tried out and practice with your settings and I learnt to voner and torque rolling. Now I have a doubt?

Do you flight real planes? Is it possible to move the CG in order to get a similiar behavior in a real plane?

Besides I wish you coul help me with these questions which I also posted in the forum:

Hi Guys, before explaining my problem I want to thank to everybody how is makig this Web so usefull to the people who love this hobby.

Here is my problem,

Yesterday I downloaded both versión of Yak 54; IMAC & 3D. However, I find the plane flyes perfectly in normal flyes but when tryn to hover or torque rolling I cannot perform them. I am able to make them with AFPD Extra300 and Cap 232 without changing any of the "Ikarus planes pre-programed configuration" parameters like the CG; so I wonder:

Have you guys change any of the parameters related to the Yak54 in order to make this maneuvers?
Are you using dual rates or exponentials? I cannot use them because my transmiter is very simple and do not have them. I am begining to think about buying one which perform this kind of programing but I want to know if that could be my problem.

Thank you very much

Marki

Regards

Is anyone using the two methods that seem unconventional to me?

Most of us understand the method in red, but what exactly are the others used for, and what do they do?

Thanks_bob
