Default AFPD on HP notebook?

I'm wanting to get a new notebook for several applications which are not nearly as demanding as AFPD. I'm looking at the typical HP AMD64 Athlon using the ATI Express 200 card with 128mb of dedicated memory. Can't find one they will allow me to load AFPD on and try it so was wondering if you can give me any idea of how or if it will work.
Thanks,
George

Dion,

Thought you would like an update. I bought the same notebook I gave the specs on earlier, except for 1 gb of ram. Runs at around 55 fps using the Extra 330S at the Rottenburg field. Not as fast as my desktop but does everything I was hoping for.

Thanks again,
George

Nice specs... but this laptop will play afpd even better http://www.discountlaptops.com/index...egory_theme=c1 x700 256mb! I wish I would have got that one instead of my dell inspiron but I didn't know about it. But my dell is pretty good anyways....
Have fun!

Matt,

That sure is a better machine. The HP I got was $998 at Sams Club so I'm still ok with it. AFPD is the only game type ap I use and I wanted it to keep in practice when we are away from home. Thanks for the info.

Default RE: AFPD on HP notebook?

I'm looking at a Dell 9300 for AFPD.

Not sure how the ram is classified these days, or what I really need for the program?
Here's what I'm looking at;

Dell lists the Processor as Pentium "M" 740 (1.73Ghz/2MB Cache/533MHz FSB). Aerofly lists/wants P3/4?
The card is the 256MB Nvidia GeForce Go 6800.
Ram as 512MB Dual Channel DDR2 ****M at 533MHz 2 Dimm.

Can someone please explaing the above a bit, and if they are ok for Deluxe?

Thanks and have a good holiday_bob
