Default AFPD

I have had AFPD for a month now, and have had two usb connectors for my Futaba 9CAP, and am still having the hula dance on the sim. The airplanes just bounce around. WHAT THE H#LL IS ONE TO DO. I posted in here before and got no responce from any technical guys about it......ISNT THIS SUPPOSED TO BE A TECH CENTER FOR THE DESIGNERS TO HELP YOU OUT WITH PROBLEMS? I have, in my opinion wasted 200 dollars on this p.o.c! ANY AND ALL THAT CAN HELP, PLEASE KEY IN. Thanks in advance, Nick

I am trying to buy the sim but cannot get clear answers to whether or not my computer will support it. I would think maybe that is a problem that is affecting you. Can you check your video board and see also it your computer is configured Open GL.

This is apparently critical.

Keep in mind it works for a lot of other people.

Suggestion: Turns out that the dongle in the AFPD cable is very sensitive to static electricity. If you are in a place/climate where you easily generate static charge, try using a ground strap. Get it at Radio Shack. Wear it on your wrist and clip the other end to the PC chassis. It is a bit of a pain but it settles things down.
Hope this works for you. It really is a great sim if you get it to work properly.

I use a 9CAP with my copy of AFPD and everything works fine. Have you done the calibration procedure shown on the main screen, if not you need to. The other thing I have found is the plane will jump around on its own if the connector to the radio isn't pushed all the way in. I hope this helps.

Why not just go straight to the source? This forum is not the source for technical support. Contact Fred Boyce at IKARUS in Fort Meyers Florida. I was also having trouble with my cable and found that if I grounded the cable to the PC chassis the problem was solved. I sent my cable to Fred and he set it up with a proper ground. No extra wires - nice and clean. The cable now works perfectly.
