I do love this simulator and I am determined to get it working better for me.
I originally tried running AFPD with my Futaba Super 8 transmitter. Seemed OK to begin with but I soon noticed some bad "glitching". When I try to calibrate, I can see the bars jumping quite a lot so I know there is an issue somewhere.
I tried my older Futaba transmitter and AFPD would not even 'see' it.
I borrowed a friends Hitec 5 transmitter and it works great. Now I think the DIN plugs on my transmitters are bad. Tried switch cleaner; no luck.
I think I will have to invest in the game commander to use AFPD (an upgrade to the Futaba 9 channel is not in budget right now!)
Any other suggestions? Anyone seen this before?

So, NdFrSpeed, what do you do? I am considering buying the commander, but I am disappointed that I have to go there.

I use a old futaba conquest. I had the same problems till recently. I had the cable hooked directly into the computers USB port and constantly had jittering. Well, for christmas I was given a digi cam and had no usb slots left to hook into for the dock. I went to walmart and bought a 4 port USB hub so I had some more slots. I hooked up the cam, working good and I hooked the control back up, to my surprise, NO JITTERS! I dont know why, but this hub has completely stopped the jittering. I was in disbelief, I hooked it back to the usb port on the comp and it jitters like crazy, but through the hub, none!! I wish someone could explain this to me.

OK, I found my problem, but this is wierd!
I run AFPD on my laptop and I noticed that when on the laptop battery power all was ok. I found two a/c outlets in my house (on the same circuit) cause the USB interface to go crazy. I can replicate this problem at will. I took the laptop to the hobby shop to demo APFD and had the same problem running on a/c power - switch to battery and all is OK! Seems the laptop/interface is sensitive to 'dirty' power. Oh well...threw me for a long time!!
