Ipacs has released a patch for AFPD users with Add-on 1 and/or Starflight add-on. You may download the patch from http://www.aerofly.de/www/downloads.html This patch addresses the following issues:
-Fixes a problem with the aircraft reflection
-Keys ‘7’ and ‘8’ allow the change of thermal wind speed during simulation
Please install the patch after you have installed the add-on disk
To keep all your settings, make a backup copy of your config folder. The config folder is located in C:\Program Files\IPACS\AeroFly Professional Deluxe\config After installing the patch, you can copy back your config folder into the same location. If you're using your own Tx, re-calibrate it.
(NOTE: For AFPD users without any add-on, please download and install patch 1.8.0.25)
Enjoy!

There is still a problem in that it is not possible to move (reposition) the window on the monitor. In the past I was able to move the AFPD window to my 37" LCD in the extended view mode. I use Windows XP. How do I let Ikarus know of the problem?
Thanks,
AL

Mike, I have a laptop that I connect to my TV which is a 37" LCD and setting the LCD to VGA. So I use the TV as an extended screen to my laptop. Berfore I bought the Starlight upgrade I was able to drag the AFPD to the extended screen (the TV) and resize the AFPD window to fill the TV screen. After I bought Starlight and did the upgrade I was not able to resize or move the window. After the last upgrade to 1.9.7.9 I can resize the AFPD window but I can't relocate it on the laptop or move it to the TV.
As a point of information I have been able to move my browser window to the TV and resize it. I have also managed to do it with Mapsource by Garmin.
Thanks for the help and let me know if I can answer any other questions.

Al, I assume you're using the tvout of your graphics card. Did you try to update your video card driver and BIOS as well? You could also try making the LCD as the primary monitor. Remember to tick the box to extend the windows desktop in your display properties menu

Mike, it does work to change the TV to the Primary display and then AFPD is on the TV. But why can I leave it as the secondary and all of my other programs can be dragged to it. I think that there is still a bug in AFPD.
Thanks for the help and I hope they fix the bug.

Mike, I tried changing to Classic and it didn't work in that mode either. I look forward to see if Ikarus can fix this as one of the things I do at my office is putting it on a 15 foot screen with a LCD projector. That is really like being at the flying field and fixing this bug would make it easier to do.
Thanks again,
AL

Mike, I just installed Starflight add on disc to AFDP and the first thing I did was to download and installe the patch from the website but I noticed the patch didnt have the same revision number I assumed it was an up to date patch (It said it was for Starflight). The installer said it succesfully installed Starflight I did not run the program before I loaded the patch and I also got a message that it was succesful. I then started the program and
the graphics and performance are awesome.
I have a problem though when I exited the program my PC crashed and I got a bunch of vertical lines on my screen and nothing would allow me to close the program so I turned off the power and rebooted.
and then If you can help me with this problem it would be great because this sim is too much fun I gotta run it I love the P51! I did not reboot the PC after installing the Starflight Disc and the Update patch I just went and flew the Mustang, was that the problem should I have rebooted the machine after the upgrades(You probably remember me you helped me out on the phone)
Thanks Much Joe

Mike, I downloaded patch# 1.9.7.9 and the version number thats in the top right hand of the screen is 1.9.7.3
However all I needed to do was to reboot the PC and its all good
I am a happy guy
I started and ended the program 3 times(Not Reboot just open and close the program) after the initial boot and it WORKS KILLER beats the hell out of RF.
Mike please dont tell me I installed the wrong patch[X(] It was the only one that said it was for Starflight, now I did go onto a different website just now thats in both English/German On the page 1.9.7.9 had a later date 12/06 and it was for Starflight so I downloaded but it works and I love it.
Thanks Mike

Mike,
I am interested in the patch or the temp. patch because I have the same setup with windows XP , and I use my HDTV as a 2 nd monitor,
Did you have any luck trying the temp patch with graywolf?

Hi Dan, IPACS is aware about the issue and this will be probably incorporated in the next patch. The latest patch 1.9.7.11 was developed before the issue was reported. The patch sent to graywolf was 1.9.7.11 and it did not work with his setup. I understand that the previous patch 1.9.7.9 was OK, so if you're using this version, you might want to hang on to it.
