Angel, ensure you have patch 1.6.8.6 installed and that the new COM port lies between COM1 and COM8. Also ensure that no other software is blocking your port. It will help if you disable any antivirus software when installing the main disk and patch. The sequence of installation is main disk, expansion pack (if you have it), patch

Mike,i have installed the sequence correctly, when i open the hardware config. it does not see a controller on com1 but it does say that com1 is working correctly.
the Tx is on and i plug to the com1 in back of cpu,it does nothing, doesn't even notify of new hardware has been plugged in.

Are you sure nothing else is assigned to com1? Can enable another port? You can change the COM port number under the advanced settings for the port settings.

Accoriding to the tm.log Aerofly has NO RIGHTs to open either COM1 or COM2. This is usually caused by another program on the system that is blocking these ports. You have to disable the program first. You could also try to assign to COM3 to COM8.
