Default Easyfly 2 USB Problem

I have Easyfly two. I bought a new computer and this was one of the first things i installed, it worked great, just plug in the interface and away you go. Howver now it simply wont work anymore, when you plug in the interface is is an 'Unkown Device' and Easyfly can't find it. When this happened the first time i just swapped to a different USB port but now it will not work on any of them. I tried restoring the computer back a few weeks and this worked a couple of times but now the system restore wont work (though that is something to do my my firewall and i unrelated i believe).

I have a AMD Athlon 64 Processor and a NiviDA GeFORCE card and i am running Windows XP

Any ideas?

Thankyou for any information anyone can yeild about this!

Please plug in your usb interface into a usb port, then go to Start->Control Panel->Game Controllers. Do you see anything installed? Try other usb ports too. Are you using a usb hub?

No its through the root hub (the USB ports inside my computer if that is a root hub) There wasn't anything appearing the box you mention before however uninstalling AFPD (friends copy as his computer is not well equpied enough) and then swapping USB ports has seemed to work. Hopefully this is a long term solution rather than a quick fix - so i might be back! lol Btw you wouldn't happen to know if Ikarus are bringing out any extra models/scenery for Easy fly2? i know its quite a new sim, so maybe a while yet

Thanks for your help!

You should see "Easyfly2 Interface" under Game Controllers. There should not be any conflict between AFPD and EF2. I have both installed in my PC without any issues. IPACS might release more models and sceneries for EF2 in the future.
