Default Game Commander Problem

Just received my AFPD with Game Commander controller last week. The right stick is stuck in the down position. Is there a warranty on the Game Commander? Will I void such warranty if I open up the Game Commander and try to locate/fix the problem. Anyone else have this problem?

Does the right stick move up/down in a ratchety movement? Are you a mode1 or mode2 flyer?

Right stick (elevator) is stuck. Not ratchety, but stuck in up position (i.e. pulled back). Can't push it up for down elevator. I don't want to force it. Aileron stick motion (side to side) is OK.

That's not normal. Can you remove the back cover (4 screws) and see if there is any obvious problem with the elevator gimbal mechanism? You may compare it with the other gimbals.

OK, I got the back cover off and inspected the mechanism. There is what appears to be a pin that came loose and is sticking out from the gimbal? and is striking the mount. Pin is dead center on top of gimbal (i.e. the vertically rotating part).

I can't get to the pin without removing the whole gimbal mechanism. Will removing the four screws in the front cover (at the right stick) allow removal of the gimbal mechanism?

os, it looks like the gimbal centering mechanism is faulty. Please ship your usb game commander to the service department below with a brief description of your problem and daytime phone number. You may attach this thread for reference.

Thanks Mike. I will send the Game Commander in, as you suggested. BTW, love the AFPD, great graphics and choice of planes.
