RE: AFPD can't find transmitter
Hi Mike,
I hope everything is going well.
I also returned my dongle some time ago as you may recall our email communications.
I provided my phone number and address presumably in order for you to locate my dongle in packages that had arrived.
Unfortunately I have not received any reply since.
I am hoping and trusting, that this is simply because you and they are so very busy during this holiday season.
For all I know the return shipment could arrive any day now. At least I am hoping for that outcome.

RE: AFPD can't find transmitter
Mike,
Its Saturday morning and my dongle was sitting against the front door this morning. ;-)
It is the upgrade Thank you & U. Heinrich at IKARUS USA
I connected it up and the xmitter was recognized and functional YEAH
Had to recalibrate and reset controls which surprised me but now every is working great.
Thank you.

RE: AFPD can't find transmitter
I'm glad to see that Driftair received his dongle....that's encouraging.
However, another 10 days has passed and I still don't have mine. I really don't understand this level of service or the lack thereof.
Still waiting...
Rick

RE: AFPD can't find transmitter
Hi Mike,
Happy New year.
My RealFlight G4 Interlink Elite was working with Aeroflypro Deluxe but stopped.
I un-installed and reinstalled AFPD then installed the patches; afpd18021.exe, afpd18023.exe, afpd18025.exe, and afpd1110709.exe
I tried to get the Interlink controller to work and cannot get it recognized.
Have you any suggestions?
Thank you.
Clark

Hi Clark, if you do not have any addon disk, then you should use patch 1.8.0.25 If you have installed a later patch, you can't reverse it. You would have to do a complete uninstall then reinstall AFPD and the correct patch. The uninstallation instructions and patch can be found here http://www.aerofly.com/www/downloads.html
I have no experience with the G4 interlink. Did it use to work before?

RE: AFPD can't find transmitter
Hi Mike,
When I have my radio connected it works, but the interlink still does not.
P.S. I just installed a new ATI Radeon driver and immediately noticed some image fault issues but the program still runs alright, some aircraft just looks funny and/or ugly in places.

Hi drift, you could have some usb conflict somewhere or a faulty interlink controller. Does the interlink appear in the windows games controlller panel when it is plugged into the usb port? Did you try plugging into other usb ports?
On your ATI driver, did you install the correct driver version for your card? You could also try applying an older driver version.

RE: AFPD can't find transmitter
Hi Mike, The interlink controller is new, it is the upgrade I recently received. Yes the interlink does appear in the windows games controller when it is plugged into the usb port, and I have tried it in other ports.
The drivers for my graphics card drivers I am using are correct for my card, and they are the most recent.
I also have and was using the older drivers under which the same problems were occurring.
When I have my transmitter connected and working, I try the joystick settings, and they only respond to the transmitter.
The Interlink remains unrecognized by AFPD. The Interlink works fine with RFG4 and it is configured under â€Game Controllers’ as â€Interlink Elite.’

RE: AFPD can't find transmitter
Looks like we are both traveling the same railroad tracks.
I have tried that several times now and still no success.
How do I upload a screen shot?

RE: AFPD can't find transmitter
Hi drift, on the display issue, if you could post the screenshot, it may be helpful. Save the screenshot as a .jpg file and just below your reply box you'll see a button for uploading images. You could try the following to see if it helps with the image issue:
-Update your sound card driver and see if the problem goes away.
-If you're using an on-board sound card, you may want to try disabling the directsound hardware acceleration. To change the audio hardware acceleration setting:
1) Click Start, and then click Run.
2) In the Open box, type dxdiag, and then click OK.
3) Click the Sound tab.
4) Under DirectX Features, move the Hardware Sound Acceleration Level slider all the way to the left (no acceleration).
5) Click Exit.
-Under "graphics" in the flying menu, ensure that "vertical sync" is unticked
On your RF interlink controller, the following is the normal procedure for setting it up. I guess that there's no difference with the RFG4 controller:
Plug in the AFPD usb interface or game commander into a usb port. then plug in the RF Interlink controller into another free usb port.
Note that AFPD might not find the interlink controller until you unplug any standard joystick from the usb port.
Click on CONTROLS in the MAIN MENU. You will see JOYSTICK. Make sure you click on the DOT for AIRCRAFT #1 at JOYSTICK. The controller you select in the selection box should be shaded blue denoting it is the one in the list presently active. In your case Joystick should be blue. Click on properties and move the sticks. Edit so that when you move the Aileron stick, the DOT for aileron is on that stick (Red bar moves & is self explanatory ). Repeat with each control. Put a check in the reverse box to reverse the direction of any control. Now go to calibrate on the menu and execute it.
You may go back at any time and put in an expo value on any control.

RE: AFPD can't find transmitter
Hi Mike,
Recent implementations;
Downloaded the most recent drivers for sound card and installed them.
No onboard sound card is being used, but checked BIOS for it and made certain 'onboard sound' was disabled.
Opened DXDiag and set both sound 1 and sound 2 to the lowest setting by sliding the;
“Sound Acceleration Level slider all the way to the left”
Uninstalled AFPD, deleted all “IPACS” folders and cleared the registry of everything that came up under searches for; Aerofly, AFPD, and IPACS.
Restarted the computer and reinstalled AFPD, then installed only “afpd18025.exe” patch.
When I found that the Interlink controller was not recognized I applied patch “afpd1110709.exe.”
There are no “joysticks” connected to my computer.
I have noticed that the mouse (Logitech marble mouse) seems to be noticed by AFPD as a joystick. No other mouse is used.
In the Control Panel, under Game Controllers there are only two listings:
Ikarus Interface, and InterLink Elite.
Under Graphics “Vertical Sync” is not checked.
If the scenery choice of “TheField” is made, AFPD crashes when Fly is clicked.
I checked Event Viewer after the crash and found the following:
“Faulting application afprod.exe, version 1.8.0.17, faulting module afprod.exe, version 1.8.0.17, fault address 0x00139fd6.”
0000: 41 70 70 6c 69 63 61 74 Applicat

0050: 64 36 0d 0a d6..
I then re-applied patch “afpd1110709.exe.” No improvements have been noticed.
Wow! Sound now has an interesting quality. Not certain I like it though.
"Click on CONTROLS in the MAIN MENU. You will see JOYSTICK. Make sure you click on the DOT for AIRCRAFT #1 at JOYSTICK." Right ~ However, the interlink controller is still unrecognized.
I am beginning to think it may be necessary to try a complete OS Wipe and reinstall!!! But I don't want to do that, at least not yet.

Hi drift, could you tell me your PC system specs? Also, pls don't use patch 1.11.7.9 in your case. If you have applied this patch, you would have to uninstall AFPD/reinstall and apply patch 1.8.0.25 Is the printed version number on your main AFPD disk 1.8.0.17?
Also, try to use a different mouse. IF AFPD sees your mouse as a joystick, this could create a conflict with your interlink controller

RE: AFPD can't find transmitter
Grrr!
Well, I will uninstall and reinstall AFPD once again and use only patch 1.8.0.25, and yes, Version 1.8.0.17 is the number on my AFPD CD.
I will try a different mouse for awhile to see if that changes things, but I like my Marble Mouse and don't intend to stop using it permanently.
This time I will just uninstall and reinstall rather than clearing out the registry and deleting the folders etc.
P.S. When I click on 'Calibrate' I see 'USB Interface #0, Status OK, Channels 12.
When I click on 'properties,' the 'Calibrate' button is grayed out unless I connect my T9CHP transmitter. The Interlink Elite controller is connected.
I tried to load 'thefield' scenery again and AFPD crashed again.
Event Viewer Properties:
Faulting application afprod.exe, version 1.8.0.25, faulting module afprod.exe, version 1.8.0.25, fault address 0x0007d5bc.
Currently using Microsoft USB optical mouse.

RE: AFPD can't find transmitter
Hi Mike,
I would post a screenshot if I could, but none of the choices here allow me to browse to the image for uploading.
Also I have not found a way to reduce the image size to whatever is acceptable in this forum.
Are there clear instructions on this here somewhere that I am missing?
I was expecting it to be easier than any options I have managed to find.

Thanks Mike,
But your email does not provide instructions on how to post any images, or screenshots.
I see that many are posting images, but I see no easy option for it.
Can you direct me to some instructions for posting images to this forum?
Thank you.
