Hello. I have AFPD version 1.8.0 with the 1.8.25 patch installed and no add ons. While downloading new aircraft, I know that I have to change the .tmd file on the newer models, but how do I change the .tmd files on the aircraft with any type of "autorun" or "auto-download" feature? Thanks, D.

Hi droosta, can you tell me which AFPD model you're trying to download, and the link to it? Actually it does not matter how the aircraft file is downloaded. After it has been downloaded and installed, and if there are any issues with starting up the aircraft in AFPD, then take a look at the tmd file.

Hi rajul. The last plane I've tried to download was the DHC-2 "Beaver" off of the www.rc-sim.de site. Im able to get the plane into the AFPD aircraft folder by either us ing the import wizard after unzipping it from my desktop or by simply running the downloaded file after I've saved it to my desktop. The issue I'm having is I'm unable to access the .tmd file to change the version to accept my AFPD 1.8.25 because I don't have the option of o*****ng the folder with notepad or word. Only "run" and "cancel' come up. Thanks,D

Hi droosta, please follow the download and installation instructions here http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_5241496/tm.htm Somewhere further down the thread you will find the instructions on how to change the tmd file.

Hi again- Quick update, don't know if this will help. I can drag and drop these folders into notepad, but the format is all scewy. The only thing legable is "This program must be run under Win32" at the top. Hope this helps, and thanks again! D

Hi droosta, there is an error in the default destination folder during installation. When you run the exe file, just change the destination folder to what you see in the attachment here or just copy this and paste it into the window C:\Program Files\IPACS\AeroFly Professional Deluxe
The German authors used C:\Programme\IPACS\AeroFly Professional Deluxe as the destination folder. I think "Programme" must be the German Windows version of "Program Files". If you find any folder named "Programme" in your c:\ directory, just delete it.
