Default Electric Helis

When flying an electric heli such as a Trex on AFPD, after a few minutes I run out of power. Is the sim realistically modeling running down of the battery? Is there a way to configure the heli model for unlimited battery/fuel?

Hi, where did you download the model from? I don't think the stock AFPD models have runtime.

Thanks for the reply. I downloaded the T-Rex model from www.rc-sim.de I noticed it also occurs with the Fun Piccolo which I think is a stock model with AFPD.

What models exactly do you mean?? I tried the T-Rex 600 and the original Ipacs Piccolo (there is no Fun Piccolo) and I can't reproduce what you told. How many minutes does it last until you run out of power?

It's the Trex 450 models from www.rc-sim.de. It flies for around 3 minutes then no power. You are right. I am mistaken on the Piccolo model but it exhibits the same affect. Perhaps is my throttle calibration settings on my transmitter getting corrupted in the software?

I flew both models for about 10 minutes without running out of power!

Maybe you have a problem with your radio? Do you have the possibility to use another one for testing it?

I have a similar problem now Im using my Futaba TX. Even some nitro helis are unale to get off the ground due to lack of power. Maybe its something to do with the throttle hold, I havnt got around to fidling with it yet. Ill post back here once I have a solution.

Hi Dean, it is best to disable all program mixes before you calibrate the radio.

I have the same problem with nitro models. I can only hover above mid stick. At first I thought I had idle-up switched on but I am only using a 4 channel basic Hitec transmitter for the controller. Does the sim have an idle-up feature?

Idle-up function has to come from a programmable radio
