Hi. When you buy an add-on pack for AFPD you have guaranteed quality. But, as some of you know, there is a whole host of free material at http://www.rc-sim.de/dl_engine_eng/ . Select 'Ipacs', then 'Aerofly Pro Deluxe'. Some of it is not so good; but some of it is brilliant.
I strongly recommend two free programs by Rainer Stein which are now available in English. To get them, follow the menu tree as above and then select 'Aerofly Pro Deluxe Tools and others'. The programs have (almost) all their interface now in English and the user manual pdf's have also been translated.
Many of us with AFPD have a very large number of aircraft models. But the AFPD interface doesn't really help here. With a lot of models and copies of copies of models, it all gets out of hand. "Where is that copy of the Spitfire that I edited last week?" ADGD is probably the best solution possible to this problem. You can create your own 'Windows'-like folder and sub-folder structure which gives you all the info, interfaces directly with AFPD and allows you to see and manage your models easily.
Windmachine is great too. The real wind is never constant in direction or velocity. Windmachine controls AFPD to make random changes in wind direction and strength within a range of variation which you set beforehand. Can you land safely when your aircraft is hit by a sudden gust of wind from an unexpected direction?
Happy flying as they say.
Best wishes
Mike
