I just recieved the AFPD sim from hobby lobby and a new spctrum dx7. I can't get the program to see the transmitter unless I wiggle the rc cable going into the transmitter and then only temporarily do I need a new cable?
Can I purchase a wireless set up for the DX7 like the booklet references? Hobby Lobby doesn't stock one. And can't get one. Just like they don't stock any extra cords. I just might return the whole thing as there is no support in america for this program.
Thanks,
Bob

Hi Bob,
Please post a photo of the usb interface and all the cables that you received with your AFPD so that I can verify if you have the correct items for your DX7. Please also tell me what is the exact error message you're getting.
The wireless AFPD system (AWC) is only for 72 or 36MHz PCM/FM transmitters only. It is not compatible with 2.4Ghz systems like Spektrum and FASST. It will not work with your DX7.
Do not worry on the support as a new and strong distributor has been confirmed for the USA just last week. An announcement will be made soon. In the meantime, if you have any problems, do not hesitate to let me know so that I can offer you a solution.

Hi Bob, thanks for posting the photo. You will need to use the correct adapter cable between your DX7 and the cinch cable. The adapter cable sent to you is the wrong type (for older Futaba and other radios). Please contact Hobby Lobby and request them to send you the correct adapter cable. I have attached photos of two types of adapter cable that are compatible with JR and Spektrum, either the 31036 or AFP02 will work fine. If you have any problems getting either of these from them, please let me know immediately.
The connection sequence from your computer to the DX7 should be: USB stick interface, USB stick adapter cable, 2.5mm cinch cable, JR/Spektrum adapter cable (31036 or AFP02), finally DX7. Let me know if you need me to post a photo of the connection sequence if this is not clear to you.
Hope this helps

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the help. As I referred earlier. Hobby Lobby has no one to support the sim infact I talked to a man that promised to call me back today and let me know If he has a cable needed. But of course he never called back. I could use any help getting the cable asap. I doubt Hobby Lobby will be any quick help and If I have to wait on one from germany I don't know what I will do.
Thanks,

Hi Bob, pls send me a PM with your full name, address, and contact number. I will try to get one rushed to you from Ikarus Germany. That's the best I can do now for you. I am sorry to hear that Hobby Lobby is not giving you the much needed support. They are no longer the distributor.

Hi Bob, I got your latest PM. Please provide me with all the information below.
1) Tell me exactly what kind of hardware you have, especially 3D graphics card, CPU, and any other hardware installed, sound card etc.
2) What is the RAM size?
3) Which operating system are you using, XP or Vista? 32 bit or 64 bit?
4) Tell me exactly what drivers you installed for the 3D graphics card.
5) Which addons do you have?
6) What is the version number printed on your main AFPD disk?
7) How did you install the main disk, addons, and patch (which version?), and what was the sequence of installation?
Thanks
