Hey Mike,
My 2 year old USB that plugs into the pc is quite worn and loose. We are getting frequent "unable to locate" error messages.
Zonker123 on a 9/3/09 post describes the trouble.
Please advise steps in replacement of cable.
Thanks. Reid Williams

We are using JR radios. A 6102 and a S400. They work fine once the usb is recognized.
Here's the error message:

USB Interface Cable/USB Game Commander
Aerofly Pro Deluxe is unable to locate the USB interface cable/USB Game Commander. Please plug the interface or gamecommander into a free USB port.
Also check that the USB interface ... or Ikarus commander.

Mine was destroyed by the vaccume cleaner about 8 months ago. I've been without my simulator since then. You're basically screwed, from what I understand, if something happens to the usb cable. Because Aerofly Pro people put a special serial code in the usb adapter that won't let people make multiple copys and use generic usb adapters. I haven't seen anyone that sell just the specific aerofly pro usb cable by itself... otherwise I'd buy it.

Yes, I'm connecting to the USB Hub. Our gaming PC has 4 in front, 1 in back. I've tried all on that computer. I can get it to work, but it is behaving like a worn out plug. You have to get it a certain way, then it recognizes the interface. Any slight cable movement causes the signal to be lost.
I have tried the interface on all 4 ports of my business desktop. The front 4 USB ports have been used maybe 20 times to with a zip drive....so they are pretty much new. That PC does not recognize the Ikarus interface at all.
The interface does seem to consistently register on my Acer netbook. It seems to have a "better" fit.
If there was some way to get a new USB end, I could fix the interface.
We have some usb cables that seem to be bullitt-proof, they are heavy duty and there is never a recognition problem when operating external drives or cameras on the PCs where the Ikarus interface is not recognized.
Thanks. Reid.

Reid, it looks like the usb connector has become bad. Please contact Hobbico http://www.hobbico.com/techsupport/index.html and send in your cable for a replacement. Since you're using a JR radio, you should use the proper adapter cable http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXXUT3&P=ML
