I was looking at the information screen on my iMac G5 and it says it has what I recall was a ATI or NVIDIA card (Im not at that computer right now). It did not indicate anything about "3D" in the description. I'm pretty sure the computer cannot be upgraded.
So, I'm wondering if anyone knows if the software will work on that computer?
If not, will it work on any of the newer macs or only certain ones?

Boy, I sure wish you luck. I have the G-5 & 6 on a older but high end HP. Seems to work OK most of the time, but the clairity of the screen leaves a lot to be desired. Wife is always bugging me to get on the computer and see the grandchildren, a excuse to upgrade. So now, $1250.00 later I wait for the super duper 9100 Dell to hook to a 42" JVC and enjoy? If it still does not perform, will send it and a stink bomb to the GP people, and go back to my AFPD, or something else that is not so bad a system killer. I wish you luck. ENJOY

icracer, your system is too old to run the mac version of AF5 and AFPD. For the minimum and recommended system requirements, please refer to this http://www.aerofly.com/requirements_en.html

Ok, so I need a new computer.
The link you posted indicates:
3D-graphics card from NVDIA
or ATI with 512 MB. At least as fast as NVIDIA 9600 or ATI
Radeon HD 4850
On the Apple comparison site none of the new computers come with a NVIDA 9600 or ATI 4850.

So, I'm not sure which computer it will run on.

Ok, so I am now sitting in front of a fantastic new 27" iMac with the ATI Radeon HD 5750 processor. Since Tower only has the older version I'm going to order from Germany. But the description on [link]http://www.ikarus-modellbau.de/onlineshop/deutsch/oxid.php/sid/ee384ac0e6f0e05779e3e7fe4b8c94be/cl/details/cnid/bf34ad5d89c75a219.96144718/anid/bf34ad5dd58032239.98427417[/link] this page says:
I just wanted to make sure that when I order that the "aerofly5" is actually shipping now.
Get the aerofly Pro Deluxe Platinum Edition (Software) for FREE! It’s easy!
Order now a full version of the aerofly5 flight simulator.
Aerofly5 is an entirely newly programmed R/C flight simulator
After the very successful “Aerofly Professional Deluxe” the “aerofly5”, newly programmed from the ground up, will be released shortly.
