stall turn
at the end of a verticle upline, you pull the engine back to idle and when the plane stalls, you use rudder and it turns to that side. If you have a crosswind, it is always easier to turn it into the wind. You probably won't have too much consistency trying to fight the wind turning away from it.

Be sure you don't fly through the manuever (making an upside down U shape in the sky, not a stalled manuever) or do a tailslide and then do the turn b/c both of those things will get the manuever a "0"

hope this helps
John
